A white gap opened near the middle where the comb lifted clean off. I wasn't stirring the room anymore. I was combing it into lines to see if it lined up.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003ePrint the sound and it stops being a wall, it becomes a readout. Peaks and troughs, evenly spaced, a waveform you can almost measure. The noise floor turns into a texture with a period to it. This is the hum drawn out into rows, the hiss given a grid. You still can't name one signal, but now you can see them all standing in line. Regular doesn't mean quiet.
